A pumpkin carver's thoughts on H1M1.

"Man, do I think the swine flu is scary. I mean, it affects young people worst of all and doesn't seem to affect the elderly as badly. I lay awake at night thinking about what will happen if this disease ravages the world. Interstate traffic will move no faster than 45 miles per hour. There will be no TV broadcast after 10PM. The tubes of the internet will surely clog, and you won't be able to find a restaurant table between 4:30 and 5:45 PM." -Tom Nardone

I find this humorous. This site is entertaining and full of graphic pumpkin violence. I highly recommend it.

Christmas is coming.

Ever since I had that fateful carton of eggnogg about two weeks ago, I've been in the mood for Christmas. I've even directly encouraged our choir to practice the Christmas songs we have lined up. I've sang carols intentionally, and I have enjoyed it. This is crazy, considering the fact that everyone I know shudders at the mention of Christmas even in November.

I think this year's going to be good.

Eggnogg has never been so amazing. I have forgotten its taste. Amazing how one single taste and smell reminds me of so much.

That is all.

Oh What Do You Do...?

Today I'm going to talk about...

Heck. Like I know. Here I've created a blog and I don't even have anything to say or write about. So this blog, so far, is pretty pointless.

None the less, I want to try this blogging thing out, and see if I can do something useful with it.

I think my favorite part about summer is the smell. I can't ever get over how wonderful it is. Right in the middle of June and July... I don't know. I guess it's the cut grass combined with the heat and the life. Summer really isn't my favorite (too hot for me - I can't stand anything over 75 degrees farenheit) but whenever I walk outside and catch a whiff of summer air coming over the hill, I am sent back to all those other summers so long ago. Every summer of my life. I remember when I was little, and my grandmother and I used to walk all the way (half accross town) from her house to mine. I learned how to ride a bike. I played kick-the-can. I went camping. I went to Lagoon. The thunderstorms - don't let me start on those.

I think it's best when things only come once a year -- like Cadbury Eggs. And (dare I bring up my addiction) Eggnog. Things aren't as special when they're here all year 'round.

So that's the only real time I love summer. When I remember the good times and make some more.

...Now in a blog.

So. A blog. Nifty, eh? We'll see how this works, I guess.
